I’m
so young
I
love being young.
In
fact, I know how old people must be feeling; they must be feeling very old.
Look
at me, what my young age gave me,
No,
not at my tattoo on my shoulder, not at the new era piercing I got or the cigarette
filters you found in my room.
Look
at my wings.
When
you walk, I fly.
Walking
gets so boring when you know how to fly.
Try
to speed up a little, I’m faster than you
I’m so young.
I
love being young.
I
can still drop out, quit jobs, skip towns, get high.
I
can take all the money in my account, just to do a little shopping.
If
you are not so young don’t come closer, the flames of my young heart might burn
you down.
-The
end-
P.S:
“I’m
so young’
And
I love being young”
I
think that is what one is supposed to say when he/she is young..
But,
I’m scared and I’m confused.
So
I prey,
“Dear
lord, turn this wall between me and my parents in to a bridge. Amen”
“Wait…
Damn.. Sorry dear lord, I turned in to an atheist, after the Delhi gang rape
and Wijerama gang rape, sorry for disturbing “
Let
me start again.
“Dear
Batman,
I’m
so young and I’m scared.
Infection
rate is more than a mere number to me, Statistics of unemployment, child
abuses, lost citizens, suicides fear me to death, so please take care of those.
Please
take a little control over the current trends of consumerism; it always makes a
fool out of me.
I
love Adam and Eve, Rama and Seetha. Please don’t get mad at me when I say I’m
ok with Adam and Steve, Radha and Seetha too.
I
love if, ‘expectations’ could be more than a fancy word in my dictionary, and I
love if it
would
get a chance to expand its boundaries a little.
You
have given me the whole world at my fingertips, so please don’t put a plaster
on my mouth.
Please
accept me as who I am, forgive me, I’m learning through my mistakes. Thank you.
Yours humble,
Young
Generation.
